Wellington Boot Races Art Competition
2020 Wellington Boot Art Competition Update!!!
As we are unable to have gatherings, we won’t be able to auction the winning art. Instead, the WINNING artist will receive $500.00 and their art work will be used for Wellington Race Club NSW 2021 Wellington Boot Race promotions.
To keep our volunteers and visitors safe, we will be ENCLOSING the art work by exhibiting them in the windows of Western Stores for everyone to wander past and check out from Friday 3rd - 19th April.
All artworks are for sale including the winner and Wellington Arts will hold 20% commission of all art sold.
Art works can be dropped off to the Wellington Visitor Information Centre during their business and weekend hours. The closing date is 5pm on Wednesday 1st April, 2020. Judging will take place on Friday 3rd April.

EXHIBITION LOCATION:
4 - 19 April 2020 Exhibition of artworks will be in the windows of the Western Stores building Cnr of Nanima Cres and Swift St Wellington.
For current handling safety reasons ALL artworks must be completely wrapped in cling film so the outer surface can be sprayed with a suitable sanitizer.
All artworks will be showcased for sale and public viewing by the way of window displays. The ‘winning’ piece of artwork will be on prominent central display.
Artworks can be purchased by making contact with Wellington Arts representatives by displayed phone numbers in the exhibition windows.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
ENTRY IS FREE
ARTWORKS IN ANY MEDIUM AND MUST COMPLY WITH THE LISTED ENTRY CONDITIONS.
For current handling safety reasons ALL artworks must be completely wrapped in cling film so the outer surface can be sprayed with a suitable sanitizer.
· The artwork must feature a ‘racing’ theme and have 2021 discretely visible in the artwork.
· Your entry form must be attached to the artwork and wrapped appropriately.
· The selected ‘winning’ artwork will receive $500 and feature on the Wellington Boot Races promotional posters for the year 2021.
· For delivery of oversize or large artworks please contact Lisa on 0439 259522
· Closing date 1 April. All received artworks will be judged on Thursday 2 April.
· All artworks must be available for sale and a commission of 20% will be charged by Wellington Arts at point of sale.
· The artwork determined by the judge as ‘winner’, will be prominently displayed at the Wellington Western Stores building with all artworks from
4-19 April 2020.
· Art work must NOT have been previously displayed and is the artist’s original work. Maximum limit of entries is 4 per person.
· Framed art work must be suitably framed and fitted with a wire for hanging or display.

All art must be received by 4.30 Wednesday 1 April 2020.
All work must be presented suitably for display, including plinths if required.

· Artworks must be collected on Sunday 19 April or by agreed arrangements after this date. Work must be collected by the owner or written permission if it is to be collected by someone else, works will not be freighted back to artists.
