Merelyn Masters Art
My name is Merelyn Masters, I’m a pencil artist living in the Orange area.
I specialise in drawing realistic animal and wildlife portraits from photos using professional grade coloured pencils.
With this versatile medium, I can achieve the finest of details, soft fluffy fur and amazing realism.
More recently I’ve started incorporating watercolour pencils and pan pastels with the coloured pencils in selected artworks when working on Pastelmat paper.
 
I’m passionate about my work, I love capturing each individual personality and seeing their eyes come to life is a magical moment.
 
For me creating my art is challenging, rewarding and very therapeutic, temporarily relieving the burdens of reality.
 
My rural background and a life-long love of animals, nature and creativity is my inspiration.
 
In 2019 I was honored to have my drawing of “Boo” featured in the American magazine, CP Hidden Treasures 5.
